Primary Habitat:
Moss-covered bogs, slow-moving bayous, misty grooming stations, and anywhere damp air lingers. Bogmaws are often found near still water and crooked wooden structures.

Bogmaws are ancient swamp dwellers known for their wide-set eyes and layered, reed-like teeth. They remain perfectly still for long stretches of time, blending seamlessly into their surroundings until a comb is placed within their jaws.

Despite their fearsome appearance, Bogmaws are gentle and deliberate guardians. They specialize in holding combs just above the muck, protecting them from moisture and loss. A content Bogmaw will subtly “brace” its teeth tighter, ensuring tools never slip.

It holds up to 10 steel greyhound flat combs. It measures 6.5 inches long by 5 inches wide by 6.9 inches tall. Each segment measures 5 inches long by .1 inches wide.

Habitat

Open ocean surfaces, tidepools, coastal grooming stations, and anywhere tools risk drifting away. Pelagi-Snips are often spotted bobbing gently in open waters.

Lore

Pelagi-Snips are calm, buoyant creatures believed to have evolved to protect lost tools at sea. Their ridged fins hold shears securely above the waterline, while their smooth bodies allow them to drift without tipping.

Unlike more aggressive maw-creatures, the Pelagi-Snip never bites. It simply holds. Groomers who adopt one swear their shears feel cooler, cleaner, and easier to find—almost as if the ocean itself is keeping watch.

This lay flat dog grooming scissor and comb holder was designed to help de-clutter your grooming tool drawer. It holds  up to 5 scissors and two flat combs or anything else in your drawer you want to keep organized. It measures 9.5 inches long by 4.5 inches wide by 1.5 inches tall. Each scissor segment measures 9.4 inches long by .6 inches wide. Each comb segment measures 8.4 inches long by .1 inches wide. This is an updated version of our bestselling Sarabi Mini Organizer. Updates over the original include wider scissor slots to accommodate more curved shears and wider scissors. Cutouts are included at the end of each scissor slot for those longer ones. Two comb holders were also added for extra convenience when grooming.

Deep jungle floors, mist-covered workspaces, and low-light grooming stations. Umbra Mawkins prefer shadow, silence, and places where the air feels heavy—often appearing just at the edge of vision.

Lore

Umbra Mawkins are nocturnal creatures believed to emerge only when sharp blades are left unattended. Their boxy form allows them to sit perfectly still, blending into darkness until needed. Once a shear is placed within its jaws, the Mawkin seals it safely inside, guarding it with unwavering focus.

Despite their eerie appearance, Umbra Mawkins are calm, disciplined creatures. They do not snap unless startled, and they never misplace a blade. Groomers who adopt one report fewer accidents, quieter workspaces, and the strange feeling of being watched over—in a good way.

Lore

Lagoon Sniplings are gentle coastal creatures known for their careful handling of prized shears. Rather than biting or snapping, they cradle tools between their soft ridge-spines, keeping them elevated, dry, and perfectly spaced.

Their wide-set eyes are always watching—alert for salt spray, stray hairs, or wandering hands. Groomers who adopt a Snipling report fewer dropped shears and a surprising sense of calm during busy days.

At rest, a Snipling will quietly “hum” (a soft plastic tap) as it waits for its next tool to protect.

Lore

The Scarlet Snapmaw is known for its endless appetite for sharp clipper blades. Drawn to the glint of steel, it carefully “bites” each blade into place, guarding them with its jagged maw and unblinking eyes. Despite its toothy appearance, this creature is surprisingly gentle with its hoard and fiercely loyal to its adopter.

When well cared for, a Snapmaw will quietly organize blades by size and never lose a single one. Legends say if you hear a soft click-clack late at night, your Snapmaw is happily rearranging its collection.
